About

Dr Alix Dixon is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist following completion of her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London. Dr Alix has experience working clinically across a number of NHS settings including long-term psychotherapy adult services, children and family services, sexual health services and inpatient forensic settings.
 
Dr Alix endeavours to provide a compassionate, non-judgemental and thoughtful space for clients to explore their experiences ensuring individual therapy needs and goals are respected. Dr Alix draws from a number of evidence-based practices including compassion focussed therapy (CFT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), along with a focus on relational, narrative and systemic working. Dr Alix is able to provide support to those across the lifespan, including work with families and couples and is happy to discuss the individual goals of clients to develop therapeutic plans that work for them.
