About
Dr Eleftherios (Lefteris) Kipoulas is an HCPC registered Chartered Clinical Psychologist who completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East Anglia.
Dr Lefteris has experience working with young people, adults, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds across a range of different settings, including community mental health teams, inpatient units, crisis teams, and specialist services within the National Health Service in England. Lefteris has experience supporting people with a wide range of presentations, including personality disorders, psychosis, trauma, depression, anxiety disorders (including OCD, panic attacks and phobias), stress, self-harm, suicidal ideation, relationship difficulties, chronic pain, and neurodiversity. A big part of his work includes providing comprehensive assessments of complex mental health difficulties, risk assessment and management, neuropsychological assessments, and evidence-based therapy for adults in distress and crisis.
At the heart of his practice is supporting people to live a meaningful, fulfilling, and value-led life. Lefteris offers a person-centred and integrative approach to therapy using evidence-based therapeutic models, such as CBT, ACT, DBT, CFT, and CAT, adapted to the diverse needs of the people he works with.
Lefteris, thank you for helping me go through this crisis and realise that I am not ‘crazy’. A bigger thank you for not giving up on me six months ago when I was unsure about therapy and life! It's nice to have someone to listen to you, understand you without judgment and help you move forward with your life. I will miss our sessions and will do my best to keep living a fulfilling life and make the most out of the present moment, as we discussed. The service is very lucky to have you!
Lefteris is a highly skilled, kind and very compassionate therapist. He always made us feel at ease and understood, treating us with professionalism and respect. I am particularly impressed by how approachable he was and how much care and support he provided to our family, which other professionals and services had not done for years. My brother always struggled to trust professionals. However, he developed a trusted relationship with Lefteris very quickly and was able to process things he had never spoken about. Lefteris has made a difference in our family’s lives, and his genuine willingness and commitment to support our brother have been invaluable and outstanding. We are all deeply grateful for this.
